Fees and Rebates

Psychological consultation fees are guided by the recommended rate provided by the Australian Psychological Society. Fees are based on 50-minute consultations, and are well below the recommended rate provided by the Australian Psychological Society. In some circumstances, fees are flexible and negotiable.

Medicare allows a rebate for 10 therapy consultations per calendar year. The current rebate from Medicare is approximately 60% of Marie’s fee. To be eligible, your General Practitioner will prescribe a health care plan for you prior to your first appointment. Once you have reached the Medicare safety net threshold you can claim a higher rebate, therefore closing the out-of-pocket expense.

If you have private health insurance, part of your consultation fee may be claimable through your fund. Please check with your insurer for details.
