Marie Bertuch is a professional and empathetic Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years experience. She is dedicated to helping individuals and couples by placing great importance on privacy and working in a collaborative manner in order to meet client goals. Marie specialises in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of difficulties experienced by adolescents and adults, such as anxiety, depression, stress, relationship problems and the pressures of modern day life.
Marie has a broad experience in the public and private sectors and has consulted to St George Bank, TAB, Dept of Education, Morgan & Banks, NSW Corrective Services, Local Council, McDonalds, community mental health and University counselling services.
With training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) as well as experience in the psychoanalytic approach, Marie can work with clients on short term (brief solution focus) or long term therapy. As she is trained in different styles of therapy, Marie enjoys the challenge of tailoring strategies to meet the specific needs of her clients.
Marie can provide specialist psychological services under Medicare including the services for pregnancy-related issues.
With regard to qualifications, Marie holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology (Counselling and Clinical), and has couple therapy training. She is fully registered with the NSW Registration Board, is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society, a member of both the College of Clinical Psychologists and the NSW School of Clinical Hypnosis. Marie also holds training in Personal Coaching
